He contributed with four goals and five assists in 10 games.<\/p>\n<p>The gold medal win allowed Perry to be entered into the <strong>Triple Gold Club<\/strong>. He is one of only eight active players to have won <strong>Olympic Gold, World Championship<\/strong> gold and a S<strong>tanley Cup<\/strong> championship. Perry is also just the second player to combine his Triple Gold membership with a gold-medal win at the <strong>IIHF World Juniors<\/strong> and a <strong>Memorial Cup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re fortunate and excited to welcome Corey Perry to the team.&#8221; <strong>Doug Armstrong<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockeycanada.ca\/en-ca\/news\/perry-added-to-2016-world-cup-roster\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">general manager for Team Canada, said<\/a>. &#8220;He is coming off a gold-medal win with Team Canada at worlds, and his career accomplishments in the NHL and in international competition speak for themselves. He\u2019ll be a great addition to the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This addition to Canada gives the team more depth at the forward position. While Carter is a natural centre, he likely would have ended up playing on the wing. As a natural right winger, this gives Perry a better chance to excel in his position.<\/p>\n<p>The team also isn&#8217;t losing much in terms of scoring ability. Carter played in 77 games with 24 goals and 62 points. In 82 games, Perry scored 32 goals and also finished with 62 points.<\/p>\n<p>Team Canada is set to begin training camp in Ottawa on September 5.\u00a0Canada will then see their first pre-tournament action on September 9 when they take on the rival <strong>Team USA<\/strong> squad.<\/p>\n<h3>Monahan Out, Trocheck In<\/h3>\n<p>The team <strong>North America 23 and Under<\/strong> squad also made a change today. Out is <strong>Calgary Flames<\/strong>\u00a0centre <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/monahse01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sean Monahan<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and in is <strong>Florida Panthers <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/trochvi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vincent Trocheck<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sean Monahan out of World Cup for Team N. Replaced by Vincent Trocheck<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tom Gulitti (@TomGulittiNHL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TomGulittiNHL\/status\/771822888349413377\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">September 2, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Trocheck is coming off a break-out year where he scored\u00a025 goals and 28 assists for a total of 53 points in his first full season in the NHL. The 25 goals where a career high for the young forward and had him tied for third among the Panthers. His 53 points were good for fifth and also a career high.<\/p>\n<p>Trocheck has spent his career with the Panthers, who drafted him during the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He was also part of the 2013 USA team that took gold in the 2013 World Junior Championships. He contributed with three goals and three assists in six games.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2013, Trocheck has played in 146 games, putting up 37 goals and totaling 83 points. His season was cut short this past year when a foot injury caused him to miss the rest of the season after playing in 76 games. His play drew praise from teammate <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/jagrja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaromir Jagr<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was our best player for a long time,\u201d Jagr said\u00a0about the forward. \u201cIt\u2019s tough.
