Financials of the terms have not yet been disclosed. Dahlin spent most of the 2016-17 season in the Sweedish Elite where he scored 9 goals and 13 assists for 22 points in 24 games.<\/p>\n<p>Last season Dahlin scored seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in 41 games. He also added four minutes\u00a0in penalties. Dahlin also picked up a number of awards last year including Sweedish Junior player of the year, U20 WJC All-Star, WJC best defencemen, along with winning the Silver Medal at the WJC last year.<\/p>\n<h2>What This Means for Dahlin and The Sabres<\/h2>\n<p>Dahlin is expected to be the next big superstar for the Sabres. He has been touted as the next superstar defencemen in the NHL. He has been known to have the skating ability like <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/leetcbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brian Leetch<\/a><\/strong> and has a great shot. The Sabres liked what they saw from Dahlin in development camp. He&#8217;s expected to play with the Sabres this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Sabres could be looking at a solid year next year. Dahlin joins a talented roster that includes 2015 second overall pick <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eicheja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Eichel<\/a><\/strong>,<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/reinhsa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Reinhart<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/ristora01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rasmus Ristolainen<\/a><\/strong> as part of the Sabres young core. Coupled with exciting prospects\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nylanal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alexander Nylander<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mitteca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Casey Mittelstadt<\/a><\/strong>, there is a lot to get excited about in Buffalo.<\/p>\n<p>They also made a few key acquisitions this year picking up <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/thompta01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tage Thompson<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/berglpa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrik Berglund<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/blues\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St.Louis Blues<\/a>\u00a0in the trade for <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oreilry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan O&#8217;Reilly<\/a><\/strong>. The Sabres also picked up a goaltender in <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/huttoca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carter Hutton<\/a><\/strong> who should solve one of Buffalo&#8217;s main issues over the last few years.
