Stick with Last Word on Hockey, as we will be updating the Awards all night long.<\/p>\n<h1>Live Results:\u00a02018 NHL Awards<\/h1>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lindste01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ted Lindsay<\/a> Award &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdavco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor McDavid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/oilers\/\" target=\"_self\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The Lindsay is awarded to the NHL&#8217;s Most Outstanding Player as voted by the Players. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdavco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor McDavid<\/a><\/strong> won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rossar01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Art Ross<\/a> Trophy with 41 goals and 67 assists for 108 this season.\u00a0It is the second straight Lindsay for McDavid, as well as his second straight scoring title.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=hallta02,hallta01&amp;search=Taylor+Hall&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Taylor Hall<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/devils\/\" target=\"_self\">New Jersey Devils<\/a>\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mackina01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nathan MacKinnon<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/avalanche\/\" target=\"_self\">Colorado Avalanche<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>William M. Jennings Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/q\/quickjo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonathan Quick<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/kings\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Quick is announced as the winner of the Jennings trophy, awarded to the goalie or goalies who play in enough games to qualify, for the team with the fewest goals against in the NHL. The 203 goals surrendered by the Kings were best in the NHL this year.<\/p>\n<h2>Norris Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hedmavi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Hedman<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/lightning\/\" target=\"_self\">Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The award for the NHL&#8217;s best defenceman goes to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hedmavi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Victor Hedman<\/a><\/strong>. Hedman put up 17 goals and 46 assists for 63 points this season. He was the top defenceman on the Lightning, who were the best team in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/subbapk01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">P.K. Subban<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/predators\/\" target=\"_self\">Nashville Predators<\/a>\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/doughdr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drew Doughty<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/kings\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/clancki01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">King Clancy<\/a>\u00a0Memorial Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/sedinda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daniel Sedin<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/sedinhe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Henrik Sedin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/canucks\/\" target=\"_self\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The Canucks twins take home the Clancy Trophy for their community involvement off the ice. The Sedins work in Vancouver has been immense throughout their career, and the brothers take home one final award in their NHL career.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/subbapk01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">P.K. Subban<\/a><\/strong> of the Predators and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/z\/zuckeja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jason Zucker<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/wild\/\" target=\"_self\">Minnesota Wild<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Calder Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/barzama01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mathew Barzal<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/islanders\/\" target=\"_self\">New York Islanders<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The NHL Rookie of the Year award goes to Barzal. Barzal scored 22 goals and 63 assists for 85 points this year. The 20-year-old finished 20 points ahead of the NHL&#8217;s next highest scoring rookie.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boesebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Boeser<\/a><\/strong> of the Canucks and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kellecl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clayton Keller<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/coyotes\/\" target=\"_self\">Arizona Coyotes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Lady Byng Trophy &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/karlswi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">William Karlsson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/knights\/\" target=\"_self\">Vegas Golden Knights<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Karlsson scored 43 goals and 35 assists for 78 points for the Golden Knights this year. He also took only 12 minutes in penalties. This was the fewest of the NHL&#8217;s top 40 scorers. Karlsson helped the Golden Knights to a remarkable inaugural season.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/barkoal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aleksander Barkov<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/panthers\/\" target=\"_self\">Florida\u00a0Panthers<\/a>\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oreilry01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan O&#8217;Reilly<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/sabres\/\" target=\"_self\">Buffalo Sabres<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Masterton Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boylebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brian Boyle<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/devils\/\" target=\"_self\">New Jersey Devils<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The Masterton Trophy goes to the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boylebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brian Boyle<\/a><\/strong> for perseverance and dedication to hockey. Boyle was diagnosed with a form of leukemia in training camp. He wound up coming back and scoring 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 63 games this year. He was also an NHL All-Star.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/luongro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Roberto Luongo<\/a><\/strong> of the Florida Panthers and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/staaljo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jordan Staal<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/hurricanes\/\" target=\"_self\">Carolina Hurricanes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>EA SPORTS Cover Athlete &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/subbapk01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">P.K. Subban<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The cover of EA Sports NHL 19 video game will be graced by\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/subbapk01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">P.K. Subban<\/a><\/strong>. Subban was third in Norris voting. He put up 16 goals and 43 assists for 59 points this year, and helped the Nashville Predators to the President&#8217;s Trophy.<\/p>\n<h2>Selke Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kopitan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anze Kopitar<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/kings\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The award for the NHL&#8217;s Best Defensive Forward goes to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kopitan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anze Kopitar<\/a> <\/strong>for the second time. Kopitar scored 35 goals and 57 assists for 92 points this year. His possession numbers were 55.4 percent Corsi-for, and +2.8 relative Corsi.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees for the award were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bergepa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrice Bergeron<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/bruins\/\" target=\"_self\">Boston Bruins<\/a>\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/coutuse01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sean Couturier<\/a><\/strong> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/flyers\/\" target=\"_self\">Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/adamsja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Adams<\/a> Award &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gallage01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gerard Gallant<\/a>, Vegas Golden Knights<\/h2>\n<p>The award for coach of the year goes to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gallage01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gerard Gallant<\/a><\/strong>. Gallant took the &#8220;Golden Misfits&#8221; to the top of the Pacific Division, and to the Stanley Cup Final. It was the best performance of an expansion team ever, in any major North American sport.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong>Jared Bednar<\/strong> of the Colorado Avalanche\u00a0and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/cassibr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bruce Cassidy<\/a><\/strong> of the Boston Bruins.<\/p>\n<h2>Rocket Richard Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/ovechal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Ovechkin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/capitals\/\" target=\"_self\">Washington Capitals<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>With 49 goals this season <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/ovechal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Ovechkin<\/a><\/strong> again wins the Rocket Richard Trophy. It is his seventh time winning the award. He finished five goals ahead of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lainepa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrik Laine<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_self\">Winnipeg Jets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Messier Leadership Award &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/engelde01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deryk Engelland<\/a>, Vegas Golden Knights,<\/h2>\n<p>The award for leadership on and off the ice goes to Engelland. He put up a career season with five goals and 18 assists for 23 points. A leader on ice for the Golden Knights, Engelland was also instrumental in off-ice work in the Las Vegas community.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/simmowa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wayne Simmonds<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0of the Philadelphia Flyers and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/w\/wheelbl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blake Wheeler<\/a><\/strong> of the Winnipeg Jets.<\/p>\n<h2>Vezina Trophy &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rinnepe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pekka Rinne<\/a>, Nashville Predators<\/h2>\n<p>The award for the NHL&#8217;s best goalie this season goes to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rinnepe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pekka Rinne<\/a><\/strong>. Rinne went 42-13-4 as the Predators won the President&#8217;s Trophy as the top regular season team in the league. He had a 2.31 goals against average, a .927 save percentage, and eight shutouts.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees were <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/helleco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor Hellebuyck<\/a><\/strong> of the Winnipeg Jets and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/v\/vasilan02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrei Vasilevskiy<\/a><\/strong> of the Tampa Bay Lightning.<\/p>\n<h2>GM of the Year &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcphege01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George McPhee<\/a>, Vegas Golden Knights<\/h2>\n<p>McPhee wins the award for assembling the expansion Vegas Golden Knights. The team shocked the world this year, and were better than any expansion team in history.
