Sabres Coach <strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bylsmda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dan Bylsma<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> said that he is expected to miss several weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Bogosian is pointless in nine games played, however he is among the team leaders in time on ice, averaging just under 19 minutes a game. The experienced defenceman is considered week-to-week.<\/p>\n<h2>Filling the Void<\/h2>\n<p>Bogosian was expected to be a major contributor to the Sabres&#8217; blue-line this season. His\u00a02015-16 season was also cut short at just 64 games. This injury comes at an bad time for the Sabres, who are quite tight on right-handed defenceman already. The Sabres will have to look towards their other right-handed defenceman for support to replace Bogosian&#8217;s minutes. Blue liners\u00a0<strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fransco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cody Franson<\/a><\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/ristora01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rasmus Ristolainen<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will most likely be relied on to fill the void that Bogosian leaves.\u00a0<strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nelsoca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Casey Nelson<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> is also expected to slot into the lineup. It will be interesting to see how coach Bylsma decides to juggle ice time among these blue-liners.<\/p>\n<h2>Injury Plagued Sabres<\/h2>\n<p>The Sabres have already been suffering on the injury-front this season. They lost top forwards\u00a0<strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kaneev01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evander Kane<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2016\/10\/14\/evander-kane-injured-weeks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">cracked ribs<\/a>, and\u00a0<strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eicheja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jack Eichel<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> to an <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2016\/10\/12\/buffalo-sabres-jack-eichel-4-6-weeks-ankle-injury\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ankle sprain<\/a> early\u00a0last month. The Sabres, who were hoping to get out from the basement this season with a quick, hot start, have done moderately well so\u00a0far. Going 4-3-2 in 9 games, the Sabres are holding up with 10 points, placing them sixth in the <strong>Atlantic Division.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sabres will play their divisional rivals, the\u00a0<strong>Toronto Maple Leafs<\/strong>, on\u00a0Thursday night.
