Unsure when he will return to the team.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ottawa Senators (@Senators) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Senators\/status\/794184208788889600?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">November 3, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>Ottawa Senators Goalie Craig Anderson Granted Leave<\/h3>\n<p>Craig Anderson, who received word last week that his wife, Nicholle, had been diagnosed with cancer, will not suit up against the <strong>Vancouver Canucks<\/strong> Thursday night. \u00a0When Anderson originally learned of the terrible news, he took an initial leave. Anderson\u00a0returned on Sunday to face the <strong>Edmonton Oilers<\/strong>, where he posted a shutout. He played again on Tuesday, when the Senators squared off against the <strong>Carolina Hurricanes<\/strong>. Anderson\u00a0lead the team to a 2-1 shootout win. The past few days have obviously been tough for Anderson, and leave was granted by Senators staff. \u00a0A timetable for his return is unknown.<\/p>\n<p>It has been confirmed that <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/condomi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Condon<\/a><\/strong>, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/2016\/11\/02\/mike-condon-traded-ottawa-senators\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">acquired from<\/a> the <strong>Pittsburgh Penguins<\/strong> in return for a draft pick on Wednesday, will start in net against the Canucks.<\/p>\n<h3>Thomas Chabot Re-Assigned<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Thomas Chabot<\/strong> played in only one of the first nine games for the Ottawa Senators. \u00a0In that game, a 7-4 Sens victory over the <strong>Arizona Coyotes<\/strong>, Chabot only saw 7:09 of ice time and posted no points. \u00a0The Senators sent Chabot to the <strong>Saint John Sea Dogs<\/strong> of the <strong>Quebec Major Junior Hockey Leagu<\/strong>e (QMJHL).<\/p>\n<p>Chabot had this to say regarding his demotion, \u201cFor sure I wanted to be here for the season, but at the same time I look forward going back to junior,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd in Saint John we have a real good team and I\u2019ll also have the chance to represent <strong>Canada<\/strong> at the <strong>World Juniors<\/strong> again this year so that\u2019s something I\u2019m looking forward to.\u201d (Via Sportsnet.ca).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Roster update: The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Sens?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Sens<\/a> have recalled defenceman <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Classeman14?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@Classeman14<\/a> and forward <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mccomax17?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@mccomax17<\/a> from @SenatorsAHL.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sens Communications (@Media_Sens) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Media_Sens\/status\/794177716107051008?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">November 3, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>Recalls<\/h3>\n<p>On the other end of things, the Senators called up both Max McCormick and Fred Claesson from their <strong>American Hockey League<\/strong> affiliate team- the<strong> Binghamton Senators<\/strong>. McCormick, a 5&#8217;11&#8221;, 185 pound forward has spent the start of the AHL season with Binghamton. He has scored a single goal in six games played. \u00a0Last season, McCormick split time with both Ottawa and Binghamtom. He scored 15 goals and 15 assists in 57 games played for Binghamton. McCormick also had two goals and two assists in 20 games played for Ottawa. \u00a0He was the Senators 171st overall pick in the <strong>2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fred Claesson was selected by the Senators 126th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He has\u00a0 spent both time in the NHL and the AHL. \u00a0The 6&#8217;0&#8243;, 205 pound defenceman is entering his fifth season with the club. However he has played in only\u00a016 NHL games. He has been limited to two points as well as two penalty minutes. \u00a0In Binghamton this season, he has played in their first six games, but has not scored any points.
