Leafs, Bruins, Kings Goaltending Issues<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Kings<\/strong> goaltending situation is a mess. Star goaltender\u00a0Jonathan Quick<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is out for at least three months, and backup Jeff Zatkoff<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is now on injured reserve. \u00a0How does this effect the Kings going forward? \u00a0Do they rely on Peter Budaj<\/a><\/strong> or is someone else available? \u00a0The Boston Bruins\u00a0<\/strong>have similar, but shorter term, issues with Tuukka Rask<\/a><\/strong> and Anton Khudobin<\/a><\/strong> on the shelf. They are currently going with Malcolm Subban<\/a><\/strong> and Zane MacIntyre<\/strong>. Where does this leave the Bruins?<\/p>\n

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a pair of healthy goaltenders, but their starter Frederik Andersen<\/a><\/strong> just is not stopping the puck. How do they get him back on track? Was the trade and subsequent five-year, $25 million deal a mistake?<\/p>\n

Hampus Lindholm<\/a>‘s Deal<\/h3>\n

Andersen’s old team, the Anaheim Ducks<\/strong> have signed Hampus Lindholm<\/strong> to a long-term contract. The boys look at Lindholm and the Ducks. Can this team still contend in the Western Conference?<\/p>\n

Red Hot Canadian October<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Edmonton Oilers\u00a0<\/strong>have a 6-1-0 record and Connor McDavid<\/a><\/strong> is leading the NHL in points. Goaltender Cam Talbot<\/a>;<\/strong>\u00a0defencemen Oscar Klefbom<\/a><\/strong>, Adam Larsson<\/a><\/strong>, and Darnell Nurse<\/a><\/strong>; and forwards Ryan Nugent-Hopkins<\/a><\/strong>, Leon Draisaitl<\/a>, <\/strong>and Milan Lucic<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>have also started strong. \u00a0Are the Oilers for real?<\/p>\n

What about the Montreal Canadiens<\/strong>? Led by Carey Price<\/a>, Shea Weber<\/a>, Alexander Radulov<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>and a balanced offence, they are putting memories of last year’s disaster to bed, and have again come out as one of the league’s best teams. \u00a0Can they keep it going, or will they repeat last season?<\/p>\n
