Thoughts are with him and his family.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Louis Jean (@LouisJeanMedia) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LouisJeanMedia\/status\/789945431203672064?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 22, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Former NHL Coach Jacques Demers Hospitalized After Suffering a Stroke<\/h2>\n<p>The former <strong>Quebec Nordiques, St. Louis Blues, Detroit Red Wings, Tampa Bay <\/strong><strong>Lightning<\/strong>, and <strong>Montreal Canadiens<\/strong> coach has been hospitalized in Montreal but his office says no other details are available and the extent of the stroke is not currently known. \u00a0This summer, Demers underwent care and rehabilitation, which allowed him to make a pubic appearance on September 28th, when he was inducted into the <strong>Quebec Sports Hall of Fame<\/strong>. \u00a0More recently, Demers appeared at the Canadiens home opener this past Tuesday, the 18th, where he handed off the infamous torch to Habs captain <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/pacioma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Max Pacioretty<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI got a bit emotional,\u201d Pacioretty said after Tuesday\u2019s game. \u201cJacques has always been around and always been so positive and always said the right thing, so it was really hard to hear the news (in April).
