Lehtera did not make the trip up to Western Canada with his teammates after suffering an upper-body injury on October 15th against the <strong>New York Rangers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Finnish center has not skated after his injury and is expected to be sidelined for some time. By placing him on the injured-reserve, Lehtera must sit out for\u00a0at least seven days before returning to action. Lehtera was ailing from concussion-like symptoms in February of 2015, but it&#8217;s unsure if his current injury is concussion-related.<\/p>\n<h2>Jori Lehtera Placed on Injured Reserve<\/h2>\n<p>Lehtera\u00a0was one of three Blues players (along with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/brodzky01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyle Brodziak<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gunnaca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carl Gunnarsson<\/a><\/strong>) that were injured in the game against the Rangers. Brodziak and Gunnarsson did fly on the\u00a0trip, although their status moving forward is uncertain. Forward\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/schwaja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jaden Schwartz<\/a> <\/strong>(elbow)\u00a0could return from injury on Thursday against the <strong>Edmonton Oilers\u00a0<\/strong>after missing the first four games of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old Helsinki native was slotted down the middle with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tarasvl01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vladimir Tarasenko<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/perroda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Perron<\/a><\/strong>. Lehtera has failed to register a point in three games that he&#8217;s appeared in this year (five shots). He has amassed 78 points (23G, 55A) in 157 NHL games played.
