Net-minder <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/grubaph01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philipp Grubauer<\/a><\/strong> posted an 18 save shutout.<\/p>\n<h2>T.J. Oshie Scores Twice as Capitals Shutout Avalanche<\/h2>\n<p>Washington&#8217;s star forward and captain <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/ovechal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Ovechkin<\/a><\/strong> opened the scoring at 15:44 of the first period with a power play blast from the let circle. \u00a0Ovechkin&#8217;s first goal of the season was assisted by<strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/orlovdm01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dmitry Orlov<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/johanma03.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marcus Johansson<\/a><\/strong>. \u00a0The scoring continued when Caps forward <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oshietj01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">T.J.
