Set to be an unrestricted free agent in the summer, Colton Sceviour<\/a><\/strong> will\u00a0not have to worry about his team for next season. The Florida Panthers<\/a> agreed to terms with the forward on a three-year extension worth $3.6 million. He will remain with the Panthers through the 2020-21 season.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I came here two years ago, I talked about wanting to come to a team that was looking to have some success and win,\u201d Sceviour said in a phone interview<\/a>. \u201cThe young core, I think it\u2019s something we\u2019re just getting better. I felt like I wanted to be a part of that moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

At 28 years old, Sceviour could have been looked at as a potential trade target ahead of the NHL’s February 26th deadline. His versatility in the lineup and penalty killing make him a sought-after target. However, the Panthers did not give teams the chance.<\/p>\n
