He is out indefinitely but given the nature of the injury, it is expected\u00a0to be several weeks. Eichel collided awkwardly with Bruins defenceman <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/grzelma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matt Grzelcyk<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>behind the Bruins net late in the first period. He also added 28 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers are 49.7 percent Corsi\u00a0and a relative Corsi of +3.4.<\/p>\n<p>Since being drafted second overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, Eichel has spent his entire three-year NHL career with the Sabres. He has put up 70 goals and\u00a096\u00a0assists for 166\u00a0career points in\u00a0197\u00a0career games.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s tough losing Jack,&#8221; Sabres goaltender <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnsch02.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chad Johnson<\/a><\/strong> said. &#8220;He&#8217;s our best player and franchise player so it&#8217;s tough, but we&#8217;re all professionals. We all understand the situation.
