Today we look into the latest on <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/canucks\/\" target=\"_self\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a> defenceman\u00a0<strong><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/huttobe01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ben  Hutton<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/rangers\/\" target=\"_self\">New York Rangers<\/a>\u00a0forwards <strong><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nashri01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rick  Nash<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/grabnmi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael  Grabner<\/a><\/strong>, and the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/senators\/\" target=\"_self\">Ottawa Senators<\/a> fire sale.<\/p>\n<h1>Ben  Hutton, New York Rangers Forwards and the Ottawa Senators Sell-Off In Today&#8217;s Rumours<\/h1>\n<h2>Ben  Hutton<\/h2>\n<p><em>Rumor: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DhaliwalSports\/status\/960909694301712384\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rick Dhallwal\u00a0of Vancouver&#8217;s News 1030 reports<\/a>\u00a0that the Canucks are getting calls on defenceman Ben  Hutton. He notes that the Canucks are not shopping the young, puck-moving defenceman, but are listening to offers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Analysis: The Vancouver Canucks are having a rough season and could be looking to re-build at the deadline. While Ben  Hutton is young, he has recently been a healthy scratch in a number of Canucks games. Teams are inquiring to see if the 24-year-old could have fallen out of favour with Canucks management, and get him at a discount. Hutton is in the first of a two-year $5.6 million contract. There are a number of teams that could use his puck-moving ability\u00a0and may think they can help with his defensive flaws. Obvious candidates include<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/canadiens\/\" target=\"_self\">Montreal<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/sabres\/\" target=\"_self\">Buffalo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/oilers\/\" target=\"_self\">Edmonton<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/maple-leafs\/\" target=\"_self\">Toronto<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/red-wings\/\" target=\"_self\">Detroit<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>New York Rangers Forwards<\/h1>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rumor: On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/insider-trading-asking-price-set-for-nash-1.990432\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TSN&#8217;s Hockey Insiders<\/a> segment Bob McKenzie reports that the New York Rangers are looking to trade forwards Micheal Grabner and Rick  Nash. The cost for Nash is said to be a first-round pick and a prospect, while Grabner comes a little cheaper at just a first-round pick.<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analysis: Rick  Nash has been a big topic of trade talks recently. He has given the Rangers his list of 18 teams he will not accept a trade to, and the 12\u00a0teams he will accept. The Rangers seem to be going towards a rebuild. The price for Grabner is lower as he does not have Nash&#8217;s pedigree. He also does not have Nash&#8217;s contract. The Rangers could retain salary to make these transactions work.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One option for Nash could be the possibility of returning back to <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/blue-jackets\/\" target=\"_self\">Columbus<\/a> who is currently looking for scoring. Some other teams interested could include <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/predators\/\" target=\"_self\">Nashville<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/flames\/\" target=\"_self\">Calgary<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/ducks\/\" target=\"_self\">Anaheim<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/blues\/\" target=\"_self\">St. Louis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/bruins\/\" target=\"_self\">Boston<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/kings\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles<\/a>. Expect Grabner to have similar suitors.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ottawa Senators Sell-Off<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rumor: TSN&#8217;s Insider Trading Segment also touched on the Ottawa Senators, and their expected trade deadline moves.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>The Senators have already made one big move this year by adding <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/duchema01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matt  Duchene<\/a>. The Sens have a number of pieces on the market including <strong><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=hoffmmi02,hoffmmi01&amp;search=Mike+Hoffman&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike  Hoffman<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Jean-Gabriel-Pageau<\/strong> and <strong><a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/smithza01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&#038;utm_source=direct&#038;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zack  Smith<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0but they are expecting some big talent in return.<\/em> <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analysis: These three players are all locked into longer-term contracts, and are not the typical deadline day rentals. This gives Pierre Dorion the opportunity to shop for the best available deal. He could even take a page out of the Duchene playbook and hold his assets until next season. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoffman is a goal scoring winger on a cheap contract, and that could interest any number of teams. Zack  Smith is struggling right now\u00a0but could draw interest from teams like <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/hurricanes\/\" target=\"_self\">Carolina<\/a> and Calgary. Pageau is a quality third line centre, and could be a good addition to Pittsburgh, Columbus, or <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/sharks\/\" target=\"_self\">San Jose<\/a>.
