Head coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/carlyra01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Randy Carlyle<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>announced today that the team&#8217;s leading scorer <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/perryco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Perry<\/a><\/strong> is week-to-week with a knee injury. The coach also stated that the team expects more information on Perry, and a better timeline for the injury next week.<\/p>\n<p>Perry suffered the injury during the Ducks 3-2 win over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/hurricanes\/\" target=\"_self\">Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> on Monday. During the first period, he collided with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/skinnje01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jeff Skinner<\/a><\/strong> in the Carolina zone. Following the collision, Perry stayed down on the ice and had to be helped off by the Ducks trainers. After being drafted by Anaheim in the first round of the 2003 NHL Draft, Perry has spent his entire 13-year NHL career with the team. His best season came in 2010-11 when he scored 50 goals and 98 points and won the Hart Trophy as the MVP of the NHL. Perry also was part of the Ducks 2007 Stanley Cup win, as well as a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist with Team Canada (2010 and 2014).<\/p>\n<p>Perry has been placed on the injured reserve list. The team called up forward <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/royke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Roy<\/a><\/strong> from the San Diego Gulls of the AHL to take Perry&#8217;s spot on the roster.
