He could be out for up to two months. The puck strikes Getzlaf near the left eye after\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/a\/ahose01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sebastian Aho<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0deflected a\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/perryco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Corey Perry<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0shot.\u00a0Getzlaf has had a frustrating start to the season, health-wise. He joins a crowded Ducks injured reserve list that includes\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/keslery01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Kesler<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/e\/eavespa01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Eaves<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fowleca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cam Fowler<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Getzlaf has one goal and seven points in five games this year.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the situation, Ducks head coach\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/carlyra01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Randy Carlyle<\/a>\u00a0said, \u201cYou can only coach the players who are available to you. When they get injured and what not, you really have no control over that\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Murray <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AnaheimDucks\/status\/927970842960568320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fanaheimducks%2Fstatus%2F927969607943467008\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said that<\/a>\u00a0Fowler is &#8220;moving really well,&#8221; and workouts are progressing into lateral movement. This will not change the timeline on his return, but the team is seeing positive response.<\/p>\n<p>He <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AnaheimDucks\/status\/927971224466046976\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">also said<\/a> that\u00a0Kesler is making good progress. &#8220;He had to learn how to stride again.
