Ho-Sang was a healthy scratch for the last two games after being benched for the third\u00a0period and overtime of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/rangers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Rangers<\/a> game last Thursday. This was due to overly long shifts and positioning issues. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/islanders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Islanders<\/a> decided to send Ho-Sang back to an environment in which he had a lot of success last year for more development. He had 10 goals and 26 assists in 50 games for Bridgeport, under <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/thompbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brent Thompson<\/a> in 2016.<\/p>\n<h1>New York Islanders Announce Josh Ho-Sang Assigned to Bridgeport<\/h1>\n<p>Coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/w\/weighdo01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doug Weight<\/a><\/strong> said in an interview with Newsday. \u201cI don\u2019t think that we\u2019re as good a team as we can be without Josh on the ice. He can make us better and there are some areas he wants to address.\u201d\u00a0 Weight went on to say \u201cHe wants to find out how to be better at those things.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019re as good a team as we can be without Josh on the ice\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Isles?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Isles<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/znHowtJ0y5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/znHowtJ0y5<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Eyes on Isles (@eyesonislesFS) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/eyesonislesFS\/status\/923521322122178561?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 26, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>During the interview, Weight alluded to the fact that he, Ho-Sang and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/islanders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Islanders<\/a> are all on the same page regarding his development. Saying that \u201cWe\u2019re all in a good place with this relationship. It\u2019s on the right path, and we have the utmost respect for Brent and what he instills in his guys\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ho-Sang worked well with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nelsobr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Nelson<\/a><\/strong> early in the season. He put up four assists in six games, including three on Nelson goals, scored during their California swing. Weight had a lot of praise for Ho-Sang and the maturity that he showed in the assignment. He said about Ho-Sang\u2019s outlook on the demotion \u201cHe did, or he\u2019s a damn good actor\u201d going on to say \u201cI suspect the way he\u2019s taken this, he\u2019ll be pushing to get back real quick.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ho-Sang is waiver exempt. This factors into the decision-making process for roster moves for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/islanders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Islanders<\/a>. They also brought <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/q\/quineal01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alan Quine<\/a><\/strong> off of the injured reserve list. The Islanders are set to assign him Bridgeport for conditioning.
