Montreal had just missed a scoring chance. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/n\/nylanwi01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">William Nylander<\/a><\/strong> jumped on a loose puck and started up ice on a two-on-one. Matthews managed to control the\u00a0puck and fired\u00a0in the winner. After his underwhelming performance, his long and notable\u00a0career in the NHL may be over. This latest\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/nhl.nbcsports.com\/2017\/10\/13\/ap-source-streit-not-reporting-to-ahl-will-weigh-options\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news follows reports<\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/streima01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mark Streit<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0would\u00a0not report to the Rocket and would spend the next few days weighing his options. This follows news that <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/schleda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">David Schlemko<\/a><\/strong> may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/fantasy\/hockey\/news\/canadiens-david-schlemko-returns-to-parent-club-after-conditioning\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">make\u00a0his debut<\/a> with the Canadiens this week.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the<em> Hockey Sweater<\/em>, by Roch Carrier, will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/news\/canada\/montreal\/roch-carrier-hockey-sweater-musical-1.4355793\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">made into a musical<\/a>. First published as an oral essay on CBC Radio in 1979, the story\u00a0recounts the disappointment of a young boy in Sainte-Justine, Quebec after he receives\u00a0a\u00a0Toronto Maple Leafs sweater. The problem? He was expecting a Canadiens jersey complete with Maurice &#8220;The Rocket&#8221; Richard&#8217;s iconic No. 9. It is good news that this piece of Canadiana will be reimagined for the stage. The Sharks have only managed one win this season.
