It is Cracknell&#8217;s sixth NHL team in a career that spans more than 9 years.<\/p>\n<h2>Winger Adam Cracknell Claimed by the New York Rangers<\/h2>\n<p>Drafted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/flames\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Calgary Flames<\/a>\u00a0in 2004, the forward spent most of his early\u00a0career playing for their affiliate team the <a href=\"https:\/\/widgets.eliteprospects.com\/team.php?team=2219\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quad City Flames<\/a>.\u00a0In 2009, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/blues\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Louis Blues<\/a> signed him as an unrestricted free agent. He scored his first NHL career goal against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/red-wings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Red Wings<\/a> on March 12, 2011. During his time with the Blues, Cracknell had 16 points, scoring six goals an contributing 10 assists.\u00a0Cracknell remained with the Blues until the end of the 2013-2014 season.<\/p>\n<p>On July 1, 2014, Cracknell signed a one-year contract as a free agent with defending Stanley Cup champions the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/kings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Kings<\/a>. He failed to impress during training camp, and the Kings placed him on waivers. The journeyman forward was then picked up by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/blue-jackets\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Columbus Blue Jackets<\/a>. Cracknell played a total of 17 games with the Blue Jackets before being sent down to their AHL team, the <a href=\"https:\/\/widgets.eliteprospects.com\/team.php?team=91\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Springfield Falcons<\/a>. The Blues reacquired the forward on February 26, 2015. They sent him down to their AHL affiliate team, the Chicago Wolves.<\/p>\n<p>Six months after being with the Blues, Cracknell would sign as a free agent to a one-year, two-way contract with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/canucks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vancouver Canucks<\/a>.\u00a0After playing 44 games with the Canucks, he was put on waivers before being picked up by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/oilers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edmonton Oilers<\/a>. He played eight games with the team. Cracknell made yet another move,\u00a0just months after being acquired by the Oilers, joining\u00a0the Dallas Stars.<\/p>\n<p>To date, Cracknell has played 204 games throughout his nine seasons in the NHL, scoring a total of 43 points.
