He did not register a point. Over his career Pouliot has registered just one season, of 22 games, where he posted a positive adjusted Rel CF% (8.6). It was strong enough to drive his overall relative numbers to 2.73%, despite posting negative results in both his 2014-15, and 2016-17 appearances.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Canucks?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Canucks<\/a> acquire Derrick Pouliot (<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lordricky51?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@lordricky51<\/a>) from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/penguins?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">@penguins<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/A27hHi0Ic7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/A27hHi0Ic7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Vancouver Canucks (@Canucks) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Canucks\/status\/915268492277932032?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">October 3, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Pouliot totaled 59 points in 72 games with the Portland Winterhawks in his draft year and averaged nearly a point a game in his first AHL season but has since struggled to continue his offensive production. His production rates have dropped in each subsequent season, and the once untouchable has quickly fallen out of favour with the Penguins brass.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily the former Winterhawk still carries some with his former coach. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/greentr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Green<\/a>, the newest bench boss for the Canucks also coached the Winterhawks during Pouliot&#8217;s time with the team. A former third round pick of the Islanders in 2011, Pedan was sent to Vancouver in 2014. The 24-year-old defenceman appeared in 13 games with the Canucks last year. Offense is not Pedan&#8217;s strong-point.
