Every off-season there are stories and events that leave you scratching your head. In this case, it has been going on for a few years. Is Vladimir Sobotka<\/a><\/strong> worth the hassle the St. Louis Blues<\/strong> are going through to bring him back? Does he want to return to the KHL<\/strong> instead? Just what is going on?<\/p>\n

The Blues have enjoyed quite a bit of success the past few seasons. It’s never been about one player carrying them nightly but more of a collective group. Sure Brian Elliott<\/a> <\/strong>had his\u00a0run last year, but overall, the Blues have made their way in\u00a0NHL<\/strong> by using the entire squad. It’s that complete team that took them all the way to the Western Conference Final last season.\u00a0Which makes it\u00a0all the more interesting that after two years a depth center is still in the forefront of conversation. You would think we were talking about a 30 plus goal scorer; that is not the case.<\/p>\n

Sobotka listed as No. 9 on Blues' roster. So if he shows up, he and Schwartz (No. 17) will have swapped numbers since Sobotka was last here.<\/p>\n
