The celebration, which will span the entire 2017-18 season, commemorates the Stars 1993 move to Dallas from Minnesota. Events planned include the retirement of the number 26 in honor of former Stars forward\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/lehtije01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jere Lehtinen<\/a><\/strong>, the Victory Green Carpet Walk prior to the team&#8217;s season opener, Reunion Nights during select Saturday night home games, and a special Retro Night game against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/wild\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Wild<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">We&#8217;ll be bringing back your favorite Stars for our 25th Anniversary Season at our Reunion Nights and Retro Night! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WRRLgDxUts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/t.co\/WRRLgDxUts<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dallas Stars (@DallasStars) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DallasStars\/status\/900734623709310977\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">August 24, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Dallas Stars 25th Anniversary Plans Announced<\/h1>\n<h2>Jere Lehtinen Jersey Retirement Ceremony<\/h2>\n<p>The jersey retirement ceremony for Finnish left wing\u00a0Jere Lehtinen will take place prior to the Stars November 24th game against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonhockey.com\/nhl-teams\/flames\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Calgary Flames<\/a>. Lehtinen&#8217;s number 26 is just the fifth number to be retired in Stars franchise history. Drafted in 1992 by the then-Minnesota North Stars, Lehtinen recorded 514 points in 875 regular-season games. Lehtinen spent his entire career with the Stars and was a three-time winner of the\u00a0Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league&#8217;s top defensive forward. He now serves as general manager of the Finnish national team.<\/p>\n<h2>Victory Green Carpet Walk<\/h2>\n<p>The Victory Green Carpet Walk will take place prior to the Stars season opener against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/nhl-teams\/knights\/\" target=\"_self\">Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> on October 6th. The event, which takes place in Victory Plaza, will feature current and former Stars players, coaches, alumni, and team executives. Stars fans who have been season ticket holders since the 1993-94 season will also have the opportunity to walk the Victory Green Carpet.<\/p>\n<h2>Reunion Nights at American Airlines Center<\/h2>\n<p>Throughout the 2017-18 season, the Stars will host Reunion Nights during select Saturday night games at American Airlines Center. These nights will feature pre-game ceremonies honoring Stars legends such as <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/morrobr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brenden Morrow<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/turcoma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marty Turco<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/carbogu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guy Carbonneau<\/a><\/strong>, among others. Reunion Nights will also include autograph sessions for fans and limited edition merchandise.<\/p>\n<h2>Retro Night<\/h2>\n<p>The Stars will continue to celebrate the inaugural 1993-94 season with a Retro Night game on February 3rd against the Minnesota Wild. Dallas will welcome back members of the 1993-94 club, including <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/gagneda01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dave Gagner<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/brotene01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Neal Broten<\/a><\/strong>. Retro Nights will also feature special pricing on concessions and retro-themed in-game entertainment.
