One of those teams is the Ottawa Senators, who missed out on the playoffs once again. General manager Pierre Dorion declared the rebuild over, but there’s still work to be done. Rumour: Sportsnet’s Wayne Scanlan took a look<\/a> at what the Senators may do this off-season. Cam Talbot<\/a> already said that he wouldn’t be back next season and that leaves a spot open in the crease. One definite is that Anton Forsberg<\/a> will be back with the club for the 2023-24 campaign. Dorion also alluded to Mads Sogaard<\/a> being the goaltender of the future.<\/a> However, he was unsure when Sogaard would ascend to the top spot.<\/p>\n There are a number of goalies that are going to be on the free agent market this season. Some of them might be harder to get or not worth the time. Jonathan Quick<\/a> is 37 and may not be worth the risk and Semyon Varlamov<\/a> may be too expensive. Joonas Korpisalo<\/a> might get re-signed by the Los Angeles Kings after coming over in a trade. Both Carolina Hurricanes goalies Antti Raanta<\/a> and Frederik Andersen<\/a> will also be on the UFA market.<\/p>\n Scanlan did say Adin Hill<\/a> would be a good target and Tristan Jarry<\/a> would be worth a look.
