He was held out of the victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning two days ago, and participated in morning skate today. He did not participate in warmups ahead of the game against the Carolina Hurricanes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Morrissey is having the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhl.com\/player\/josh-morrissey-8477504?stats=career-r-nhl&amp;season=null\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">best season<\/a> of his career, with <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2019\/09\/12\/winnipeg-jets-sign-josh-morrissey-to-eight-year-extension\/\" target=\"_self\">about a point per game<\/a>. He has 15 goals and 52 assists in 66 games this season. Over his eight-year career with Winnipeg, his previous highest goal total was 12 in the 2021-22 season. They\u2019re in the last wild-card spot in the West, six points ahead of the Nashville Predators.
