He inks a four-year deal. While the team did not disclose the numbers, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports his contract is for $6.4 million. It will carry a $1.6 million AAV or cap hit per year. He added six penalty minutes. He also played in 13 AHL games as well in 2016-17 and scored one goal and added four assists for five points with 10 penalty minutes. Over his career he has played in 53 NHL games. Pelech has put up three goals and nine assists for 12 points in his career. He should play in an important defensive role for the team. He had a solid career in the OHL with the Erie Otters. During his four seasons with the club, Adam put up 20 goals and added 107 assists for 127 points in 228 games. Two years before he was drafted in 2010-11, Pelech won a U-17 World Hockey Championship Gold Medal for Canada.
