We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today\u2019s featured game is between the Washington Capitals<\/a> and the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

NHL Predictions: Washington Capitals vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/span><\/h2>\n

Boston Bruins vs Carolina Hurricanes<\/span><\/h3>\n

Head to Head: Bruins 1-0 Hurricanes<\/span><\/h4>\n

Today’s first game on our NHL Predictions is a heavyweight title fight. The Boston Bruins<\/a> wrap up their road trip as they take on the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a>. Both teams sit in the top five in the league in being the best. Boston enters tonight in the second of a back-to-back set of games. <\/span><\/p>\n

Each team has a special blend of forwards and depth on defence. In fact, these are two teams who are some of the best defensive teams in the league. A true test will come between the pipes. <\/span><\/p>\n

One X Factor is special teams play. Boston enters play with the fourth-ranked<\/a> powerplay unit, while also having the best penalty kill. However, Carolina has struggled on the power play and getting into penalty trouble could cost them. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prediction: Bruins defeat Hurricanes 3-2<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Washington Capitals vs Toronto Maple Leafs<\/span><\/h3>\n

Head to Head: Capitals 0-0 Maple Leafs<\/span><\/h4>\n

Tonight’s featured game on the NHL Predictions is an Eastern Conference showdown. The Washington Capitals take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Leafs are down badly in the injury department. Superstar centre Auston Matthews<\/a> is out for the next three weeks<\/a>, and Matt Murray<\/a> is now out<\/a> for the club. Tough blow for the team chasing Boston in the standings. But it will be Ilya Samsonov<\/a> as he gets to face his former team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even with Matthews out, the Leafs still have Mitch Marner<\/a>, William Nylander<\/a>, and John Tavares<\/a>. The goals in this game could come in bunches as the Capitals have health again and are led by Alex Ovechkin<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Prediction: Washington defeats Maple Leafs 4-2<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
