After trading Tyler Toffoli it seemed the team may have been further from contention, however that is not the case. This team is littered with veteran talent and also has one of the best prospect pools in the league. Adding Kane would make them deep up front and give them another explosive winger.

How Can LA Make The Move?

To get a player of Kane’s calibre it is going to take an arsenal to get him. For a rebuilding team like the Chicago Blackhawks, acquiring prospects and draft picks is essential when unloading a star talent. The Kings have the picks and the prospects to land Kane. Los Angeles may be hesitant to include Quinton Byfield or Brandt Clarke, but they could include Alex Turcotte. He is a native of Illinois and could enjoy playing for the team in the state he is from. The Kings may or may not attempt to make this move, but the prospective talent should entice Chicago if they come calling.

The Boost To The Kings

Chicago Blackhawks Patrick Kane would be an immediate boost to the King’s lineup. This core has shaped up nicely with veterans Anze Kopitar and Drew Doughty. In addition, they have younger players contributing in Adrian Kempe, Alex Iafallo and others. Kane would look dynamite next to newcomer Kevin Fiala who has been worth every penny. A team that made the playoffs last season and has a youthful impact is aiming to contend further. Adding Kane would allow them to maintain pace in the competitive Pacific Division.

We were absolutely definitely 100% NOT emotionally ready to see this pregame tunnel the team made for Patrick Kane. #1Kane #Teammates #ThatsHockeyBaby pic.twitter.com/OAVLdBoRqY

— Chicago Blackhawks (@NHLBlackhawks) March 10, 2021

Up until the trade deadline, the rumour mill will keep churning when it comes to the Chicago Blackhawks.
