Each day, Last Word on Hockey takes a look at the games that are happening and gives our predictions for each one, breaking down head-to-head and other factors that may play in. We also have a featured game of the day, which is considered must-watch TV. Today\u2019s featured game for NHL Predictions is the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a> vs. the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>. NHL Predictions: Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers<\/h2>\n

Ottawa Senators vs Anaheim Ducks<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head Senators 0 – 0 Ducks<\/h4>\n

Both teams have some good young players and plenty of promise. The Ottawa Senators<\/a> have lost four of its last five while the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> are coming off a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers.<\/a> Ottawa could exploit the Anaheim’s trouble with killing off penalties.<\/p>\n

It’ll be a tight one, but the Sens should get the win.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Senators win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers<\/h3>\n

Head-t0-Head: Penguins 0-0 Flyers<\/h4>\n

It’s our featured game for our set of predictions and the first of three meetings this season. Pittsburgh is red-hot with four straight wins and both sides of the ice playing well. The Penguins are sixth in goals for coming into Friday’s games with 71. Sidney Crosby<\/a> is still playing at a high level with 10 goals and 27 points.<\/p>\n

The Flyers have lost eight straight games and are fading after a great start. Further issues mean more angry soundbites from coach John Tortorella, who even scares the Grinch. Carter Hart<\/a> continues to put up great numbers,<\/a> but only he can do so much to stem the tide.<\/p>\n

Betting on team’s continue losing streaks<\/a> has been an issue for the site, but Pittsburgh should take care of business.<\/p>\n

Prediction: Penguins win 4-1.<\/p>\n

Seattle Kraken vs. Vegas Golden Knights<\/h3>\n

Head-to-Head: Kraken 0 – 1 Golden Knights<\/h4>\n

This Pacific Division battle has the Seattle Kraken<\/a> coming in with a three-game winning streak. Seattle has been scoring goals in bunches as of late and from multiple sources. It’s been a wide distribution of goals for the Kraken with Jared McCann<\/a> having the most with seven.<\/p>\n
