Today\u2019s featured game is the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/senators\/\" target=\"_self\">Ottawa Senators<\/a> vs the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/panthers\/\" target=\"_self\">Florida Panthers<\/a>. Be sure to check out our other two sets of predictions for Saturday&#8217;s games.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">NHL Predictions: Ottawa Senators vs Florida Panthers<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">New York Rangers vs Dallas Stars<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4 class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Head to Head: Rangers 0-0 Stars<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/rangers\/\" target=\"_self\">New York Rangers<\/a> have struggled after a nice start and goal-scoring is a reason why. New York&#8217;s vaunted offence is 20th in the league with 22 goals score heading into Friday&#8217;s games. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/panarar01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Artemi Panarin<\/a> has been playing well, but there needs to be contributions from other players in the lineup. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/shestig01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Igor Shesterkin<\/a> going into God mode is not a sustainable model or a good recipe for success.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/stars\/\" target=\"_self\">Dallas Stars<\/a> have played well under new coach Peter DeBoer and one reason is goalie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/o\/oettija01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jake Oettinger<\/a>. His <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2022\/10\/26\/dallas-stars-goalie-elite\/\" target=\"_self\">rose up the depth chart<\/a> from last season has been fantastic and he has a 1.17 goals-against-average and .960 save percentage. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hintzro01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Roope Hintz<\/a> is looking for <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/2022\/10\/13\/roope-hintz-contract-prediction\/\" target=\"_self\">that next big contract<\/a> and already has six assists this season.<\/p>\n<p>It should be a good goalie battle and the under might be a smart play depending on the number. The Blueshirts seem desperate and will scratch out a close win.<\/p>\n<p><em>Predictions Rangers win 3-2.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Ottawa Senators vs Florida Panthers<\/h3>\n<h4>Head-to-Head: Senators 0-0 Panthers<\/h4>\n<p>The Tkachuk family jamboree is today and both brothers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tkachbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brady Tkachuk<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tkachma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matthew Tkachuk<\/a> have 10 points so far this season. Ottawa&#8217;s four-game winning streak was snapped in a 4-2 loss to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/wild\/\" target=\"_self\">Minnesota Wild<\/a> on Thursday night. However, the Sens have been scoring goals in bunches as they&#8217;re sixth in goals-for with 27. The Panthers do have a negative goal differential so far this season, but it&#8217;s early. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/bobrose01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sergei Bobrovsky<\/a>&#8216;s numbers don&#8217;t look the greatest, but he&#8217;s capable of a bounce-back game where he can shut down the opposition. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/tkachma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Matthew Tkachuk<\/a> has adjusted well to life in the Sunshine State with six goals already this season.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a tough game to call as both have similar stats and looks to them. Florida gets a close one at home. It may also be worth a play to see the brothers Tkachuk get into a scrap with each other.<\/p>\n<p><em>Prediction: Panthers win 4-3.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Tampa Bay Lightning vs San Jose Sharks<\/h3>\n<h4>Head-to-Head: Lightning 0-0 Sharks<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/lightning\/\" target=\"_self\">Tampa Bay Lightning<\/a> has settled down after a shaky start to the 2022-23 campaign. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/s\/stamkst01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Steven Stamkos<\/a> continues to play well as the captain has made it happen with seven goals to lead the team. The Lightning&#8217;s vaunted power play is also clicking once again at 25 percent so far this season. Tampa Bay is also getting contributions from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kucheni01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nikita Kucherov<\/a>, who has eight assists so far.<\/p>\n<p>San Jose was slated to be in the race for Connor Bedard, but it has a couple of impressive wins over the Rangers and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/leafs\/\" target=\"_self\">Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>.
