Hockey season is back, and what a wild season we are seeing. Injuries are piling up, and teams are doing unexpected things early on. Even though it is early, the rumour mill keeps churning now that things are happening rapidly. Today’s rumours focus on New Jersey Devils head coach, Lindy Ruff<\/a>, who seems to be on the hot seat early on.<\/span><\/p>\n

New Jersey Devils Lindy Ruff Could Be On The Hot Seat<\/h2>\n

It is a new season for the New Jersey Devils, but this script looks familiar. Great puck possession, poor defence structure, and woeful goaltending has carried over into this season. After numerous off-season additions, the Devils have started the year 0-2. Things have not looked good on the ice, and the results are not what is expected of them. <\/span><\/p>\n

Tension In New Jersey<\/h3>\n

There is tension brewing in New Jersey. This year, expectations were for them to take the next step. It is very early, but what is being displayed on the ice is not what they envisioned. After an off-season that saw the team bring in Ondrej Palat<\/a>, John Marino<\/a>, and Vitek Vanecek<\/a>, the roster was looking more complete. <\/span><\/p>\n

To open the season, the Devils lost 5-2 to the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a> and followed that up with a 5-2 loss on home ice to the Detroit Red Wings<\/a>. The Devils have dominated possession in both games and generating chances. In fact, the Devils rank first in Corsi For Percentage<\/a> at even strength with 66.67%. However, they end up on the losing side of things. Safe to say the fan base is not happy. Head coach Lindy Ruff received boos in the home opening introductions. To make matters worse, the \u201cFire Lindy\u201d chants broke out during the third period on Saturday Night.<\/span><\/p>\n
