An MRI today revealed that\u00a0Tyler Seguin<\/a><\/strong> suffered a hairline fracture in his heel during Canada<\/strong>‘s first\u00a0exhibition game against the United States<\/strong>. Seguin left the first game, for a bit, but came back and played in the next game.\u00a0Ryan O’Reilly<\/a><\/strong>, of the Buffalo Sabres<\/strong>, joined Canada this week to to replace Tyler Seguin.<\/p>\n

Tyler Seguin Out with Hairline Fracture in Heel<\/h2>\n

Seguin will be\u00a0re-evaluated next week, to see how well\u00a0he is coming along; as well as to get an estimate on how long he’ll be out.\u00a0As of right now, there is no estimate on\u00a0the amount of time he will miss with the injury.<\/p>\n

“Upon returning to Dallas yesterday, Tyler Seguin underwent an MRI that detected a hairline fracture in his heel,” stated Stars general manager Jim Nill<\/a> in a statement<\/a> issued by the club. “His status for training camp will be re-evaluated in one week.”<\/p>\n

Seguin had 73 points in 72 games for the Dallas Stars last season. He had the second most points on the team, behind Jamie Benn<\/a><\/strong> (89). Benn was also selected to Team Canada and also had to drop out of the tournament early because of injury.<\/p>\n
