Today’s featured game is the Boston Bruins vs Vegas Golden Knights.

NHL Predictions with Boston Bruins vs Vegas Golden Knights

Edmonton Oilers vs Chicago Blackhawks

Head-to-Head: Oilers 1 – 1

Tonight marks the return of Duncan Keith to the city he won three Stanley Cups in. Keith, who spent his entire career with the Blackhawks before agreeing to a trade to Edmonton in the offseason, will look to channel the success he had as a Hawk, and use it to shut down his former team. This marks the final leg of a five-game road trip for the Oilers. They are .500 on the trip and would surely like to come out with a much-needed two points in this one.

Prediction: Oilers win 3-2 OT

Montreal Canadiens vs Calgary Flames

Head-to-Head: Canadiens 1 – 0 Flames

Tyler Toffoli takes on his former club tonight for the first time since being traded a couple of weeks ago. The Flames were already rolling as a team before the trade but adding Toffoli has only bolstered this highly efficient roster. Calgary is 9-1 in their last 10 but shouldn’t take the lowly Canadiens too lightly.

Montreal has seen a bit of resurgence since Martin St. Louis took over as head coach. A player who has benefited the most from the new coach is rookie, Cole Caufield. The rookie has been given the freedom to run with his game and it has translated into two goals and seven points in his last five games. After clawing back from a four-goal deficit against the Winnipeg Jets, only to surrender another four in an 8-4 loss, Montreal will look to get its swagger back in this one.

Prediction: Flames win 5-2

Colorado Avalanche vs Arizona Coyotes

Head-to-Head: Avalanche 2 – 1 Coyotes

With their win the other night, the Avalanche have become the fastest team to 40 wins. They managed this after only registering 11 wins by November 30. So it’s safe to say this team is on fire! But like the Flames shouldn’t take the Canadiens lightly, nor should the Avalanche look past the Coyotes. Of the few wins the ‘Yotes have on the season, one came against the Avalanche.

[pickup_prop id=”19121″]

On paper, this is a classic mismatch and it should play out that way. Colorado is the superior team in this one and should have no issue taking two points on the road.

Prediction: Avalanche win 4-1

Boston Bruins vs Vegas Golden Knights

Head-to-Head: Bruins 0 – 1 Golden Knights

The Boston Bruins head over to Sin City looking to exact some revenge on the Knights, who took a win off them in their own barn last month. The Bruins will be tough however as fatigue from this five-game road trip is surely settling in. The Bruins collected three wins in a row to start the trip before losing in the final seconds to the Anaheim Ducks the other night.

Vegas will be looking to keep its place among the top three teams in the Pacific Division. Vegas has been struggling to score as of late though. The Golden Knights have only mustered 13 goals in their last seven games. Including being shut out in back-to-back games. The Bruins rank fifth-best in the league for goals allowed, so Vegas won’t be lighting the lamp easy in this one.

Prediction: Knights win 3-2 OT

[pickup_prop id=”19128″]

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

Welcome back to another day of NHL Predictions.
