He inks a two-year contract worth $2.5 million. It carries an AAV or cap hit of $1.25 million per season. The 27-year-old was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. He has played parts of four NHL seasons, all with the Devils. He had an 8-13-3 record with a 2.64 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. He also had one shutout. In his four year NHL career, Kinkaid has played in 69 games, going 23-27-8 with a 2.68 goals against average and .912 save percentage. He also has three career shutouts.<\/p>\n<p>Kinkaid was an unrestricted free agent that the Devils signed after two years at Union College playing or the Dutchmen. He signed in 2011, after winning the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/drydeke01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ken Dryden<\/a> Award as ECAC goaltender of the year in his sophomore season. Kincaid would make his NHL debut in 2012-13, but would not play another game, or become a regular until late in the 2014-15 season.
