In that span, he accumulated 82 career games. His overall record sits at 32-32-5 with a .908% save percentage and 2.83 GAA.<\/p>\n<p>Last season, Brossoit went 6-6-0 with a .918% save percentage and 2.42 GAA. So far, he&#8217;s played a maximum of 21 games in any single season. However, the only reason for that is because his goaltending partner has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/helleco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor Hellebuyck<\/a> throughout his tenure as a Jet. Originally drafted in the sixth round, 164th overall of the 2011 NHL draft by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/hockey\/category\/flames\/\" target=\"_self\">Calgary Flames<\/a>, the 28-year old looks to further establish himself at the NHL level.<\/p>\n<h3>What This Means for the Future<\/h3>\n<p>In his last three seasons, Brossoit quietly posted stellar numbers behind Hellebuyck in Winnipeg. He owned a 25-19-3 record in that span, but his quality start percentage stood at a solid .578%. He also posted a solid-.913% save percentage and 2.75 GAA over those seasons. Though 2019-20 saw his numbers dip, the year prior and after both look very solid on paper. This is a goalie who could very well thrive with a new opportunity, and with a potential increase in workload.<\/p>\n<p>If past performance could indicate the future, next season might be a dip for Brossoit. His numbers alternate between good and bad year-over-year, and he&#8217;s coming off a good year statistically right now. A change of scenery could shake that curse up a bit, and Brossoit will certainly aim to start a career-high number of games. He needs to start in 20 games to do so. That should be doable, considering he started 15 and 11 over the previous two (which were both shortened due to COVID-19).
