Another week in the NHL means The Last Word on Hockey Show is back on the\u00a0MAD Radio Network<\/a>\u00a0and North East Streaming Sports. Your host\u00a0Jim Biringer from lastwordonhockey.com<\/a> is on the road live from State Wars and is back alongside Coach Jay as Marc Weiss. The boys take a trip around the NHL looking at the big stories of the week. This week they look at how the New York Islanders will replace Anders Lee, the Buffalo Sabres remove Ralph Krueger as head coach, the Toronto Maple Leafs struggles, and much more.<\/p>\n

New York Islanders<\/h3>\n

Jim opens the show welcoming everyone back for another edition of the program. They keep things in the local market by looking at the Islanders and the Anders Lee<\/a> injury. Marc and Jay look at who may replace his voice in the locker room, while Jim looks at the players the team can trade for to replace Anders Lee’s production. Two names thrown around are Kyle Palmieri<\/a> and Taylor Hall<\/a>. All three feel Palmieri would be the best fit, while Hall’s attitude would not work well inside the Islanders locker room and on the bench with Barry Trotz.<\/p>\n

Buffalo Sabres<\/h3>\n

The boys look at the mess in Buffalo with the Sabres. When talking about Hall and his fit with the Islanders, they mention why he signed in Buffalo. However, things have not worked out as planned. The team continues to struggle and had to fire head coach Ralph Krueger<\/a>. They all agree that the owner needs to have a less hands-on approach with the Sabres similar to what he did with the Buffalo Bills. However, when players are not living up to their contracts it is tough to cut bait.<\/p>\n

Toronto Maple Leafs<\/h3>\n

Jim then shifts the show to the North Division and the Toronto Maple Leafs struggles. The Maple Leafs were everyone’s pick to win the division and still can, but it will be a little bit more challenging. They have to start getting their act together especially in between the pipes. Jim brings up the question to Marc and Jay do the Maple Leafs have to consider riding Jack Campbell<\/a> until Frederik Andersen<\/a> figures out his game? It is an interesting debate, to say the least.<\/p>\n

In addition to the topics above the boys discuss other teams in the North Division including the Calgary Flames,<\/a> Winnipeg Jets<\/a>, and Montreal Canadiens.<\/a><\/div>\n
