Another week in the NHL means The Last Word on Hockey Show is back on the\u00a0MAD Radio Network<\/a> and North East Streaming Sports. Your host Jim Biringer from lastwordonhockey.com<\/a> is back alongside Coach Jay and Marc Weiss. The boys take a trip around the NHL looking at the big stories of the week. This week they have a little local flare talking about the New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils, along with the Calgary Flames coaching change, Jack Eichel<\/a> trade rumours and much more.<\/p>\n

Rangers vs Devils<\/h3>\n

Jim opens the show welcoming everyone back with the solid catchphrase. They start things off by talking about the Rangers run climbing up the standings. The boys talk about the mini two-game set against the Devils. Jim talks about how the Rangers are further long than the Devils are and they are doing it without Artemi Panarin<\/a> in the lineup. They have goaltending depth, but how long can they go without Igor Shesterkin<\/a>. And one thing the Rangers got going is they are tougher to play against.<\/p>\n

Jack Eichel<\/h3>\n

Jim transitions the show talking about Jack Eichel of Buffalo Sabres. What is going on with him? Who will be gone first Eichel or head coach Ralph Kreuger? It appears that Eichel is done with Buffalo.<\/a> The boys discuss the possibility of him coming to the Rangers and what it would take to get him there. They also talk about other destinations for Eichel as well.<\/p>\n

Calgary Flames<\/h3>\n

Jim then switches the show to talk about the news surrounding the Calgary Flames and the firing of Geoff Ward and the hiring of Darryl Sutter<\/a>. Marc and Jim discuss whether or not the Flames are constructed to play the way Darryl Sutter wants them to play. Sutter has a history of having his teams play a physical style which has been a problem for the Flames come playoff time.<\/p>\n

The boys close the show talking about Tom Wilson<\/a>‘s hit on Brandon Carlo<\/a> of the Boston Bruins. How long he should be suspended and why there was no penalty on the ice. Plus they pay tribute to Walter Gretzky and Mark Pavelich<\/a>.<\/p>\n
