MacKinnon registered a goal, with linemate\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/l\/landega01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gabriel Landeskog<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0tallying a goal and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rantami01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mikko Rantanen<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0notching three assists. The game before that was closer, with Coyotes\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kesseph01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phil Kessel<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0scoring a goal and tallying an assist.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/caggidr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drake Caggiula<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0also added a goal, with Garland,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/dvorach01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Christian Dvorak<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/chychja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jakob Chychrun<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0adding assists. These two teams have a very brief history from last year&#8217;s playoffs, which is gradually expanding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prediction: 5-3 Avalanche<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Montreal Canadiens vs Vancouver Canucks<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Canadiens 4 &#8211; 1 Canucks<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Montreal Canadiens<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Vancouver Canucks<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> have had a fascinating storyline this season. The North Division is must-see television around the hockey world, but <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/t\/toffoty01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyler Toffoli<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216;s revenge tour has made these matchups extremely appealing. Toffoli is tied for second in goals with\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/m\/mcdavco01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Connor McDavid<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> at 15, but eight of them have come against the Canucks. With the debacle over the offseason within the Canucks organization about whether to sign him, it only added gas to the flame. On the other end of the spectrum, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/danauph01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phillip Danault<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> has yet to score a goal this season. He has ten assists on the year&#8211;eight of them being primary. However, the Canadiens forwards are certainly missing his goal-scoring.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Canucks have been without\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/p\/petteel01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Elias Pettersson<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0for two games now due to an upper-body injury. He was considered day-to-day by head coach\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/g\/greentr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Green<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Rookie\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hoglani01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nils Hoglander<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, stud defenceman <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/h\/hughequ01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quinn Hughes<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, and Canucks leading goal and point scorer\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/boesebr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Boeser<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0all need to make their respective presences felt if they hope to bring home the win.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Prediction: 4-3 Canadiens<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>[pickup_prop id=&#8221;4215&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h3><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Los Angeles Kings vs Anaheim Ducks<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Kings 0 &#8211; 1 Ducks<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Los Angeles Kings<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Anaheim Ducks<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0match up for only the second time in this 56 game season. The only previous matchup was the debut of anticipated sniper\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kaliyar01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arthur Kaliyev<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. After potting the rebound on a weird bounce off of Ducks goaltender\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=gibsojo02,gibsojo01&amp;search=John+Gibson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Gibson<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8216;s pad, he scored his first goal. Unfortunately, that is the only game action Kaliyev has seen this season. On the veteran side of the table in LA,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/k\/kopitan01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anze Kopitar<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has done his usual silent leadership shtick. He doesn&#8217;t make many highlight-reel plays, but he leads the team in scoring with 28 points.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/b\/browndu01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dustin Brown<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> is double the next closest goal scorer, leading the team with 12. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/d\/doughdr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drew Doughty<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0has been an excellent powerplay presence, with 12 of his 19 points coming with the man-advantage. The Ducks have not been good so far this year, as most fans expected. The debut of\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/z\/zegratr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Zegras<\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0brought some hope to the fanbase, but he was ultimately scratched in their last game against the Avalanche.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Not much has changed on the Ducks&#8217; statistical side, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/c\/comtoma01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Max Comtois<\/a> leading the way with nine goals and tied for first in points on the team with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/r\/rakelri01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rickard Rakell<\/a>. John Gibson has fallen back down to earth in the net with a few rough outings recently, but he can bounce back at any time. He also plays the most volatile position in hockey, which helps in the end as well.
