Another week in the NHL means The Last Word on Hockey Show is back on the MAD Radio Network<\/a>. Your host Jim Biringer from lastwordonhockey.com<\/a> is back alongside Coach Jay as Marc Weiss is on assignment. The boys take a trip around the NHL looking at the big stories of the week. Highlighting the Ryan Dzingel<\/a> trade back to Ottawa, the issues in Columbus with Patrik Laine<\/a> and John Tortorella, new management in Pittsburgh, along with so much more.<\/p>\n

The Last Word on Hockey Show<\/h2>\n

Ryan Dzingel Trade<\/h3>\n

Jim opens the show welcoming everyone to the show and hits the audience with the trade of Ryan Dzingel<\/a> to the Ottawa Senators<\/a> to the Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> for Alex Galchenyuk<\/a> and Cedric Paquette<\/a>. Jim and Jay talk about what Dzingel brings to the Senators once he does arrive there. Both agree this is a good addition to a Senators team that is playing better under head coach DJ Smith. Jim then throws out the question to the audience about Galchenyuk being a bust, since he was taken 3rd overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2012.<\/p>\n

Patrik Laine\/John Tortorella Fiasco<\/h3>\n

Jim switches gears over to the Columbus Blues Jackets<\/a> and Patrik Laine. The boys get into what happened involving the coach and Laine and why he was stapled to the bench for the third period early last week. Both guys point out when the trade happened the Blue Jackets knew what kind of player they were getting. He isn’t defensive stallworth and will never be that. He is a goal scorer and he has to be able to do his thing. As Jim points out the steal of the trade has been Jack Roslovic<\/a>. Roslovic has points in six of the nine games he has played with Columbus and is the perfect fit for that system.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Pittsburgh Penguins New Management<\/h3>\n

The show then moves to the Pittsburgh Penguins<\/a>. Jim talks about Ron Hextall being named the new general manager<\/a>. In addition, Brian Burke is the new President of Hockey Operations. Jim talks about how Burke got the position. Pittsburgh is in a weird situation with ageing players, but are still in a position to compete. But the division they are in is tough. The Penguins will be battling with two other teams for the fourth spot in the division.<\/p>\n

The boys also touch on the Montreal Canadiens<\/a> recent struggles, the Toronto Maple Leafs,<\/a> New York Rangers<\/a>, and Boston Bruins<\/a>.<\/p>\n
