We\u2019ll remember the moments that shaped the sport of hockey that happened on this day. Here\u2019s our look at this date in hockey history for February 13th Bryan Trottier<\/a>.

Bryan Trottier Scores 500th Goal<\/h3>\n

1990:<\/strong> The New York Islanders<\/a> forward becomes the 15th player in league history to get 500 career goals. Trottier gets the milestone in a 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flame<\/a>s. He joins Mike Bossy<\/a> as the only Islanders players to reach the 500-goal mark.<\/p>\n

Feb. 13 is a big date for the Islanders forward after he scored five goals on five shots eight years earlier. He powers the Isles to an 8-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other Notable Events<\/h3>\n

1944:<\/strong> Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a> forward Babe Pratt<\/a> sets a record for most assists by a blueliner with his 44th. He gets an assist in a 6-3 win over the New York Rangers<\/a> to pass Flash Holllett’s mark in 1942-43.<\/p>\n

1966:<\/strong> Detroit Red Wings<\/a> greats Gordie Howe<\/a> and Alex Delvecchio<\/a> each get milestones in a 4-3 loss to the Montreal Canadiens<\/a>. Howe scores a goal and sets up two more, earning his 800th NHL assist. Delvecchio became the second player (after Howe) to play 1,000 games with Detroit.<\/p>\n

1975:<\/strong> Boston Bruins<\/a> defenceman Bobby Orr<\/a> gets an assist in a 3-1 loss at the Buffalo Sabres.<\/a> Orr becomes the first player to get 100 points in six straight seasons, but it’s his last 100-point season of his career.<\/p>\n

1983:<\/strong> Marcel Dionne<\/a> gets the game-winner in the Los Angeles Kings<\/a> 5-4 win over the Flyers. The Kings end a winless run of 32 games (27 losses with five ties) dating back to Oct. 10, 1974.<\/p>\n

1992:<\/strong> Chicago Blackhawks<\/a> winger Steve Larmer<\/a> sets a record with his 777th straight game with the team. Larmer breaks the record set by Buffalo’s Craig Ramsay<\/a> in a loss to the Kings.<\/span><\/p>\n

1999:<\/strong> Blackhawks enforcer Bob Probert<\/a> scores the last goal at Maple Leafs Gardens in Chicago’s 6-2 win over Toronto. A second-period goal by Derek King<\/a><\/span> is the last by a Maple Leaf.<\/p>\n

2000:<\/strong> Dallas Stars<\/a> goalie Ed Belfour<\/a> wins his 300th game in a 2-1 win over the Washington Capitals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2008:<\/b> Martin Brodeur<\/a><\/span> gets an NHL record by winning 30 games for the 12th straight season. The New Jersey Devils<\/a> beat the Ottawa Senators<\/a> 3-2 for another Brodeur milestone.<\/span><\/p>\n
