Vegas Golden Knights Colin Miller To Miss 2nd Straight Game

Colin Miller

The Vegas Golden Knights announced that defensemen Colin Miller will miss his second straight game tonight with an undisclosed injury.

Colin Miller Injured

There is no source to the injury but he didn’t play in last night’s game vs Montreal Canadiens. He was out skating alone this morning before practice.

So far this season, Miller has scored two goals and 15 assists for 17 points to go along with 24 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 55.1 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of 0.4 percent.

Miller spent his first two seasons with the Boston Bruins before being selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the expansion draft. He has 21 goals and 66 assists for 87 career points in 221 career games. He was originally drafted by the Los Angles Kings in the fifth round, 151st overall in the 2012 NHL draft.

What This Means for the Future

The injury appears to be minor and the Knights will give an update after the holiday break. Miller who had played in all 118 games since being selected by the Knights was out Saturday vs Montreal. William Karlsson is now the only player that has played in all of Vegas 119 games. Miller has collect over half his points this season on the man advantage. The Knights will Brad Hunt to take Miller’s spot in the lineup. Miller was playing alongside Brayden McNabb on the third pairing. In the Knights first season Miller recorded more point then he had combined during his two seasons in Boston.

Brad Hunt took Miller’s spot in the lineup as Deryk Engelland moved up to the second pairing. Hunt has played in 11 games this season picking up two goals and three assists in those games. This means the Knights will be a little bit smaller on their third pairing which may affect them seeing that they play a very physical game.
