Marc-Andre Fleury Activated from IR

The Vegas Golden Knights have been one of the NHL’s biggest surprises this season. Things are also about to get better. The team has been without franchise goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury since October 13th, when he suffered a concussion in a game against the Detroit Red Wings. The Golden Knights have gone 16-8-1 in Fleury’s absence and are fighting for top spot in the NHL Pacific Division.

Fleury has been great in his limited action for the Golden Knights this season. In four games for the team, he went 3-0-0 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.48 goals-against-average. While the Knights managed to keep themselves in the hunt without Fleury it has not been easy. They also had issues with goaltenders Malcolm Subban, and Oscar Dansk, also spending time on the injured reserve list.

Subban is also healthy, having recently returned to the Knights line-up. Vegas now has their top two goalies both healthy and on the active roster, and breathe a sigh of relief at that news. Subban is 7-2-0 this season, with a 2.33 goals-against-average and .924 save percentage.

Maxime Lagace went 6-6-1 in his time with the Knights, with a 3.72 goals-against-average and an .872 save percentage. He returns to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL in order to make room on the roster for Fleury.

Fleury could be between the pipes in the Golden Knights next game. They play the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
