Ian Poulter<\/a> has revealed that he is helping LIV Golf search for new investors as the league works to secure its future beyond the current season. The former Ryder Cup<\/a> star said he has been introducing potential investors from his own network as LIV Golf looks to attract fresh financial backing.<\/p>\n

Poulter made the comments while discussing the work taking place behind the scenes to strengthen the league. According to him, LIV Golf’s leadership and several of its players are spending significant time trying to build a more sustainable future for the circuit.<\/p>\n

The Englishman said his long career has allowed him to build relationships with business leaders around the world, and he is now using those connections to support LIV Golf’s next stage of development.<\/p>\n

Poulter says LIV Golf is working hard on its next chapter<\/h3>\n

LIV Golf is entering an important period as it looks to grow beyond its early years. CEO Scott O’Neil and several team captains have spoken about creating what they describe as a “LIV 2.0” model, with the goal of attracting more commercial investment and making the league less dependent on a single source of funding.<\/p>\n

Poulter said he has introduced people from the private equity world who may be interested in the project.<\/p>\n

“I certainly have some people that I know that we’ve been playing golf around the world for 27 or 28 years,” Poulter said<\/a>. “We have met a lot of people and we know a lot of people in private equity. Obviously we’re putting their names forward to have a look at the bigger picture.”<\/p>\n

He also praised the work being done behind the scenes to move the league forward.<\/p>\n

“I think everyone is trying incredibly hard. The amount of hours the team are actually putting in to have a 2.0 version is pretty impressive.”<\/p>\n

DP World Tour return gives Poulter another option<\/h3>\n

Poulter’s comments come at a time when several LIV Golf players are also making sure they have opportunities outside the league.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Poulter and fellow Majesticks GC captain Lee Westwood paid their outstanding DP World Tour fines, making them eligible to return to DP World Tour events. Westwood later said the decision was about keeping their options open for the future.<\/p>\n

Poulter has also previously pointed to successful investment models in other sports, including Formula 1, as examples of how LIV Golf could attract outside funding and continue to grow. While questions remain about the league’s long-term financial structure, Poulter made it clear that players and executives are working together to help shape the league’s future.<\/p>\n
