In 2025, he won six PGA Tour titles, including two major championships, and claimed the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the fourth straight season. He has not matched that number of victories this season, but he has remained consistent. So far, he has recorded one victory, nine top-five finishes and four runner-up results.

His comments also come as the PGA Tour prepares for major changes to its schedule. Last month, PGA Tour chief executive and commissioner Brian Rolapp announced a new structure that will begin in 2028.

The new format will introduce the Championship and Challenger Series, with promotion and relegation between the two levels. The top schedule will continue to revolve around the four major championships and The Players Championship.

The PGA Tour also plans to increase the number of top events held outside the United States between September and January. Even with those changes, Scheffler suggested he is unlikely to expand his international schedule. For now, he remains committed to balancing his career with family life while leaving the door open to visiting Australia and New Zealand when the timeis right.

Main Photo Credit: Credit Image: © Debby Wong/ZUMA Press Wire

Scottie Scheffler has shared his desire to play golf in Australia and visit New Zealand, but he says family life will likely stop him from adding more international events to his schedule.
