no one was at risk, and it fell under the rules against vulgarity.\u00a0 Sergio Garcia, however, is in a different bed of trouble after he let his frustrations manifest in a more physical outlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sergio Garcia\u2019s Outburst<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last year, Brooks Koepka received backlash<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/brooks-koepka-receives-backlash-for-outburst-at-liv-dallas\/\" target=\"_self\"> during the LIV Dallas event<\/a> after he took his frustrations out on a tee marker.\u00a0 It flew towards the spectators, and luckily, no one was hurt.\u00a0 On the fourth day of the Masters, Garcia did something similar.\u00a0 After starting the round 16 shots behind the lead, Garcia managed to get a bogey on the first hole.\u00a0 While his first shot was still in the air on the second hole, Garcia directed his anger towards the ground.\u00a0 Taking two chunks out of the ground with his club.\u00a0 He then went off to the side and took a swing at a cooler.\u00a0 The incident left the tee box, the cooler, and the club damaged.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sergio Garcia slams his driver in frustration at the Masters | 2026 Masters\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zH809px5hNk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Augusta National Gives A Warning<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Much like with MacIntyre, the officials at the Augusta National took immediate notice.\u00a0 A bit of a hard thing to ignore with a club as stringent with the rules as this one.\u00a0 After witnessing the incident, Geoff Yang, the chairman of the competitions committee, gave Garcia a warning.\u00a0 When asked about the incident, Garcia gave the following statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I&#8217;ve been frustrated through the year.\u00a0 Yeah, just obviously not super proud of it, but sometimes it happens.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is part of a new code of conduct that the PGA and the majors are trying to adopt.\u00a0 First violation is a warning, second gets the player a stroke penalty, and the third is a disqualification.\u00a0 Garcia didn\u2019t have any further outbursts the rest of the day and only got the warning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Garcia is no stranger to outbursts either.\u00a0 His temper has a reputation as well;
