With the Masters Tournament coming up, all eyes are on the biggest names in the sport.\u00a0 There are, of course, questions about whether Tiger Woods will return.\u00a0 He did make a return to the TGL<\/a>, but the Masters is still up in the air.\u00a0 However, right now, for the Masters, there are talks about taking Scottie Scheffler down a peg.\u00a0 There are also talks about what Scheffler can do to prevent that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rahm And DeChambeau After The Glory<\/span><\/h2>\n

On the LIV side of things, both Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm have been playing incredibly well.\u00a0 Rahm recently won the Hong Kong event and has been in the top two in four of the five events he\u2019s competed in this year.\u00a0 Meanwhile, DeChambeau just won two consecutive events, the Singapore and South Africa events.\u00a0 \u00a0 On the PGA side, the reigning Masters champion is taking a break before the major, on top of a back injury this yea<\/a>r.\u00a0 Scottie Sheffler had a good start to the year, but in the past month, he has been off his game.\u00a0 On top of that, he just took time off to be there for his newborn son<\/a>.\u00a0 He may be off kilter during the Masters.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Can Scottie Scheffler Do?<\/span><\/h2>\n

On the Golf Channel Podcast, the discussion of the Masters has come up, and who could win.\u00a0 Taking Rahm and DeChambeau\u2019s performance this season, they are the favorites for the hosts.\u00a0 However, Ryan Lavner believes there is a path for a Scheffler win, or at the very least, Scheffler getting ahead of the two.\u00a0 Given that this was before Scheffler withdrew from the Houston Open, Lavner was interested in the strategy switch that Scheffler may use.\u00a0 Lavner went on to say<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOver the past couple of years, Scottie has prioritised accuracy over distance.\u201d\u00a0 Lavner goes on to say, \u201cHe does have more distance this year, he does have more speed. I\u2019ll be curious to see if we see him sort of reverting back to what he does well, bread and butter, going at 75, 80 per cent, which again, he said he had actually focused on intently two years ago, in 2024, when he had the nine-win season. I\u2019ll be very curious to see if he starts doing that over the next couple of starts.\u00a0 Scottie has been good enough to be competitive. He has not been sharp enough to be dominant.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

A bit of a return to an old strategy that has worked for him in the past.\u00a0 The idea of Scheffler going back to this one is not out of the question, especially since he has had a rough month.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Scheffler Going Into The Masters<\/span><\/h2>\n

With only a couple more weeks until the major, Scottie Scheffler does have some time to prepare.\u00a0 He has a lot on his plate with his family life right now, but it is always possible for him to make it.\u00a0 Scheffler may not have been at peak performance<\/a>, but he had a great opener at the start of the season.\u00a0 It\u2019s just a matter of his getting back into it.<\/span><\/p>\n
