Keegan Bradley has revealed that he is still \u201cheartbroken\u201d about the 2025 Ryder Cup<\/a> several months after Luke Donald\u2019s Europe defeated the United States on home soil at Bethpage Black. The defeat remains fresh in Bradley\u2019s mind, and the American admitted that he still struggles to move past the experience amid criticism of some of his decisions at the event.<\/p>\n

Bradley Says Post-Ryder Cup Has Been \u201cDifficult<\/h3>\n

Bradley captained Team USA at the 2025 Ryder Cup where Europe, led by captain Luke Donald, raced into a commanding lead to beat the United States 15\u201313, becoming the first away team to win the Ryder Cup since 2012. The 39-year-old decided not to pick himself as a playing captain for last year’s contest in New York.<\/p>\n

The former major champion has missed three cuts in his five starts this year and has not finished higher than a tie for 29th. However, the American rallied to a second round of 66 at Sawgrass after his first-round 77-an 11-shot improvement on his opening round-to ensure he survived for the final two rounds of the Players Championship<\/a>. Speaking after the second round, Bradley admitted that he still thinks about the defeat and<\/p>\n

“Listen, it [post-Ryder Cup] has been a little difficult,” Bradley told reporters.<\/a> “I’m still heartbroken from the Ryder Cup. “Trying my best to separate myself and move on, but it’s hard. I think about it a lot. I think about the guys a lot and I’m still in the process of getting past all that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradley Open To Being Captain Again<\/h3>\n

Keegan Bradley has also revealed that he is open to captaining Team USA again if the PGA of America offers him the opportunity. The PGA of America has yet to announce who will captain the team at Adare Manor in 2027, but many have tipped Tiger Woods as the favorite.<\/a><\/p>\n

At this point, no one knows whether the 15-time major champion, Tiger Woods, will take on the role, as he has remained tight-lipped about his plans. Bradley admitted he is unlikely to return as captain but added that it is a prospect he couldn\u2019t possibly pass up<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, yeah, sure, I would,\u201d Bradley said<\/a> \u201cBut I don\u2019t know if that\u2019s on the cards. I think any Ryder Cup captain that loses would like to do it again. But that\u2019s not up to me. I think that the distraction of me playing, maybe playing isn\u2019t really what the position is about. So who knows in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 39-year-old was named captain just two years after he narrowly missed out on a captain\u2019s pick for the 2023 Ryder Cup defeat in Rome. Bradley was also subjected to heavy criticism<\/a> after becoming the first home captain from either side since 2012 to suffer defeat.<\/p>\n
