Despite not being part of the PGA Tour regular season, the Bank of Utah Championship saw its fair share of excitement.\u00a0 Two medical issues came up, including an injury for Max Homa<\/a> and an illness for Aldrich Potgieter.\u00a0 It ultimately culminated in a win for Michael Brennan.\u00a0 An up-and-comer who managed to catapult his way from a rookie in 2024 to being in the top 50 on the OWGR and, inevitably, earning his own membership on the PGA Tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before Utah<\/span><\/h2>\n

Michael Brennan first went pro in 2024<\/a>, but he had previously played in events and majors.\u00a0 He missed the cut in the 2022 Genesis Invitational and again in the 2023 US Open.\u00a0 However, in 2024, he began to close in on success on the PGA Tour Americas.\u00a0 There, Brennan played in ten events and made the top 25 in six of them.\u00a0 Five of which he landed in the top 10.\u00a0 In 2025, Brennan saw two victories on the Americas Tour.\u00a0 He played in sixteen events and made the top 10 in twelve of them.\u00a0 Brennan has been on top of his game, only missing the cut one time this year.\u00a0 Then came his latest victory and the next step in his career.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brennan In Utah<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Bank of Utah Championship saw some stiff competition for Brennan.\u00a0 He was up against incredible players like the rising star of 2025, Aldrich Potgieter, who unfortunately had to withdraw<\/a>.\u00a0 Being a FedEx Fall event, there were some things up for grabs, like access to the signature events.\u00a0 It was here that Brannan earned his third victory of the season.\u00a0 It may not be a regular-season event, but this victory is nothing to sneeze at.\u00a0 After this victory, a lot has actually been opened to Brennan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brennan Going Up The Charts<\/span><\/h2>\n

After his victory in Utah, Michael Brennan found himself with a membership on the PGA Tour<\/a>.\u00a0 Something he plans on using as soon as the 2026 season.\u00a0 Brennan\u2019s performance also earned him access to a couple of Signature Events.<\/a>\u00a0 There is more.\u00a0 With the Bank of Utah Championship victory, Brennan has found himself in the 43rd position on the OWGR.\u00a0 If Brennan keeps his position in the top 50, he will earn an exemption for the 2026 Masters Tournament.\u00a0 There are just a couple of events left before the decision is made.\u00a0 There is still a lot to happen in the two short months left ahead for Brennan; he just needs to keep up his performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brennan Going Into 2026<\/span><\/h2>\n

The 2025 season was really Michael Brennan\u2019s time to shine.\u00a0 He made the top ten in the majority of the events he has played in and earned his first PGA Tour victory.\u00a0 Since 2024, he has gone from a newbie trying to find his footing to a prospective rising star for the PGA Tour.\u00a0 If he keeps this up going into the next season, his career will flourish.\u00a0 He already has access to some exclusive tournaments for the season, and he hasn\u2019t even started yet.\u00a0 Ultimately, for the 2026 season, Michael Brennan will be a name to look out for on the leaderboards.<\/span><\/p>\n
