{"id":437277,"date":"2025-10-30T03:14:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T03:14:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/?p=437277"},"modified":"2025-10-30T03:14:02","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T03:14:02","slug":"pga-tour-champions-is-ready-for-tiger-woods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/pga-tour-champions-is-ready-for-tiger-woods\/","title":{"rendered":"PGA Tour Champions Is Ready For Tiger Woods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of the year, legendary golfer Tiger Woods is turning fifty.\u00a0 It has been a pretty rocky year for him, too.\u00a0 Between his Achilles tendon and<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/tiger-woods-undergoes-major-spine-surgery-to-restore-his-mobility\/\" target=\"_self\"> his surgeries<\/a>, it has been a rough one for him.\u00a0 However, he has something to look forward to next year.\u00a0 Now that he is turning fifty, Tiger Woods will be eligible for the PGA Tour Champions, and the players and organizers are eager to see him join.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Road Blocks For Tiger Woods<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only issue with joining the PGA Tour Champions is that Woods is still recovering from surgery.\u00a0 The likelihood of him joining the senior league immediately is fairly low because of that.\u00a0 There are even questions about whether he will be in good enough condition for the 2026 season.\u00a0 Luckily, he is on the road to recovery; he just needs some rest before he can get back on the course.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Miller Brady Is Ready For Woods<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Going onto <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.golfchannel.com\/watch\/golf-today\/pga-tour-champions-ready-for-tiger-woods-potential-debut\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NBC\u2019s Golf Channel, Miller Brady,<\/a> the senior tour\u2019s president, was asked about the prospects of Tiger Woods joining the tour.\u00a0 Specifically, if the tour was ready for him.\u00a0 A main concern about Woods&#8217; joining was the name recognition he would bring.\u00a0 This comes with a lot of logistical issues, like media coverage, security, concessions, and long-time fans joining the spectators.\u00a0 Brady gave this answer:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe answer is yes, we\u2019re ready. We\u2019re well prepared,\u201d Brady said. \u201cWe\u2019ve done some whiteboarding over the past year in preparation for Tiger turning 50, and if and when he plays, our tournaments will be prepared.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brady also expressed his concerns about Woods\u2019 physical health when asked about the speculation around his surgery.\u00a0 He wished Woods the best of luck in his recovery and hopes he gets to see him play again in the future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Other Players Are Ready<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/tiger-woods-challenged-by-ernie-els\/\" target=\"_self\">Ernie Els put out an invitation to Tiger Woods.<\/a>\u00a0 He believes that the Champions will only benefit the former No. 1.
