PGA Tour Champions 2026 To Feature Two New Tournaments<\/h3>\n

The PGA Tour Champions have also announced an extra two new tournaments to its 2026 schedule which are the Portugal Invitational in the Algarve (week of July 27 \u2013 August 2) and the Jefferson Lehigh Valley Classic in Allentown, Pennsylvania (Sept 28\u2013Oct 4).<\/p>\n

The tour will again visit multiple countries such as Morocco, Scotland, Portugal and Canada, as well as eighteen U.S. states. The regular season comprises 25 events and kicks off with the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai which will take place from Jan. 19\u201324 in Hawai\u2018i at Ka\u2018upulehu-Kona. The major championships on the schedule include the Senior PGA Championship at The Concession Golf Club, Bradenton, Florida, the Regions Tradition at Greystone Golf & Country Club, Birmingham, Alabama, the U.S. Senior Open at Scioto Country Club, Columbus, Ohio, the Kaulig Companies Championship at Firestone Country Club, Akron, Ohio, and the Senior Open Championship at Gleneagles, Auchterarder, Scotland.<\/p>\n

The season\u2019s climax is the 10th annual Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. It begins with the Stifel Charity Classic (October 19\u201325), followed by the Simmons Bank Championship at Pleasant Valley Country Club, Little Rock, Arkansas (October 26\u2013November 1), and wraps up with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club (November 9\u201315).<\/p>\n

Tour Champions Thrilled With New Events<\/h3>\n

The increase to more than $69 million in total prize money signals a strengthening of the senior circuit\u2019s position in world golf. More events, more international venues, and more money mean greater opportunities for the players and greater visibility for the tour.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are thrilled to be adding new events in Portugal and Pennsylvania to an existing schedule highlighted by tremendous title sponsors in many markets which have become staples of Champions Tour golf,\u201d PGA Tour Champions president Miller Brady said<\/a> in a statement. \u201cThe incredible play we\u2019ve seen from some of the game\u2019s legends this season is sure to continue in 2026, and we are looking forward to building on that continued momentum for our partners and fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

The increased purse and new tournaments also means even more incentive to compete at the highest level of senior golf for veteran professionals who may have moved off the main tour. The tour is actively attracting big names and delivering compelling tournaments across different markets, with higher purses and expanded global reach.<\/p>\n
