During the Bank of Utah Championship, Max Homa was doing fairly well for himself.\u00a0 He managed to finish the tournament in the top ten.\u00a0 T9 to be exact, and that was despite the pain he was in during the whole event<\/a>.\u00a0 However, despite there still being some time left in the 2025 season, Max Homa has made the announcement that he is ending the season for himself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Max Homa In 2025<\/span><\/h2>\n

Homa\u2019s 2025 season has not been the best for him.\u00a0 In the twenty-five events he has played in, he was cut in eight of them.\u00a0 He made the top 25 five times and the top 10 twice.\u00a0 His first top ten wasn\u2019t until the John Deere Classic in July, when the regular season was already nearly done.\u00a0 His second top 10 was just in this last tournament in Utah.\u00a0 This has left Homa in a bit of a sour headspace.\u00a0 He took a look at his performance this year and decided that a comeback in the FedEx Fall wasn\u2019t going to turn the tide.\u00a0 At least not in a way that can make up for the rest of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Max Homa\u2019s Announcement<\/span><\/h2>\n

After deciding it was time to throw in the towel, Homa took to his Instagram to tell his fans directly.\u00a0 Despite pulling out of the remainder of the FedEx Fall season, Homa had an optimistic outlook in his announcement.\u00a0 Homa said on his Instagram<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c2025 season is a wrap for me. Disappointing season. It\u2019s not a true failure if u learn something from it, and boy did I learn a lot this year.\u00a0 Looking forward to getting to work and making \u201826 my female dog. Huge thx to Utah and all the fans for showing out this week and making my last event of the year a fun one!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Homa is very much seeing the 2026 season<\/a> as a clean slate.\u00a0 In the comments of his announcement, Homa\u2019s fans were wishing him the best of luck.\u00a0 Most looking forward to 2026 as much as he is, and others were wishing him luck in treating his injury.\u00a0 Despite pulling out of the 2025 season, Homa did end on a high note.\u00a0 Although that high note was a painful one for him.<\/span><\/p>\n

2026 Season<\/span><\/h2>\n

2025 has only a couple of months left.\u00a0 In that time, there is still a lot that could happen.\u00a0 The FedEx Fall season still has a couple of tournaments left.\u00a0 Signature event spots are up for grabs through it.\u00a0 Aldrich Potgieter, despite having to pull out of the latest tournament<\/a>, still wants to play, especially to earn one of those aforementioned spots.\u00a0 Although 2025 wasn\u2019t kind to Max Homa, he isn\u2019t letting it bring him down too much.\u00a0 Sure, he feels disappointed in his performance for the year, but he is still keeping his head held up high and is looking to grab the bull by the horns for 2026.\u00a0 He hasn\u2019t had a PGA win since 2023, but maybe he can change that in 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n
