LIV Golf has a strange standing in the golf world.\u00a0 With how the league conducts business, and with who is backing the league, it has seen a lot of backlash over the years.\u00a0 Something that fans and commentators have noticed about the league, is that with a few exceptions, the golfers in the league don\u2019t seem to care much about the backlash.\u00a0 Johnson Wagner particularly finds it shocking in the face of everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Fans Have Noticed<\/span><\/h2>\n

Earlier this year, Taylormade and Dustin Johnson parted ways as their contract had expired.\u00a0 Johnson had no interest in renewing it.\u00a0 This has sparked up a debate among former fans that Johnson has faded from the public eye since joining LIV Golf.\u00a0 Although he is still in front of cameras, his reach just doesn\u2019t reach beyond LIV.\u00a0 What they also noticed that he doesn\u2019t seem to really care.\u00a0 LIV Golf has been noticeably a more relaxed league than other pro golf leagues.\u00a0 It has gotten to the point where commentators like Brandel Chamblee have noticed a decline in the players abilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The LIV Golfers Don\u2019t Seem To Care<\/span><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s not just Dustin Johnson who seems off when it comes to how they approach the sport outside of LIV.\u00a0 When it comes to the OWGR, the organization has had a long back and forth as to whether or not the league will get points for global rankings.\u00a0 Now LIV players are calling the OWGR a mockery<\/a>.\u00a0 One of the few players who do seem to care, are players like Bryson DeChambeau.\u00a0 He is one of the few players who actually improved<\/a> since joining the league.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Johnson Wagner Shares His Thoughts<\/span><\/h2>\n

The constant debate about LIV Golf\u2019s existence has been going since its inception.\u00a0 Recently Johson Wagner was talking about the league in the context of when the players will start coming back.\u00a0 2027 at the earliest assuming the contracts aren\u2019t renewed.\u00a0 The discussion then turned to if the LIV players even want to come back if the league goes under.\u00a0 Wagner had this to say<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think LIV is going anywhere, and I\u2019m shocked by it because I\u2019ve been saying for years that the product is not really great to watch. It doesn\u2019t seem like they care. Guys like DeChambeau show up for majors, and you can tell he cares.\u00a0 He showed up for the Ryder Cup, and he cared, but it just doesn\u2019t seem like they care that much about it over there.\u00a0 So, I\u2019m just shocked that the public investment fund is still putting as much money into this thing as they are. Seeing no profit in sight and not really any sort of traction in the golf world.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Wagner and others like him are baffled that the PIF is still investing so much into LIV.\u00a0 Currently there being no return on that investment.\u00a0 Despite being barred from a league as big as the PGA, and receiving no OWGR points, the golfers on LIV are content with where they ended up.\u00a0 Just being on LIV closes so many doors to these players<\/a>, yet they don\u2019t seem to mind.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
