{"id":437099,"date":"2025-10-14T02:08:49","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T02:08:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/?p=437099"},"modified":"2025-10-14T02:08:49","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T02:08:49","slug":"bryson-dechambeau-on-top-of-his-game-despite-being-on-liv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/bryson-dechambeau-on-top-of-his-game-despite-being-on-liv\/","title":{"rendered":"Bryson DeChambeau On Top Of His Game Despite Being On LIV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While on the <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KnAlm3Ukkok\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Straight Facts Homie podcast<\/a>, Trey Wingo and Brandel Chamblee were talking about LIV Golf and its future with its players and finances.\u00a0 Part of the focus was on <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/the-tour-is-doing-fine-without-brooks-koepka-says-chamblee\/\" target=\"_self\">how star players could return to the PGA<\/a> if they were to ever need to.\u00a0 One more thing that came up was how Bryson DeChambeau is still fairly on top of his game.\u00a0 The two started speculating on how he can stay at his skill level while on LIV, and Chamblee believes that it has nothing to do with LIV.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">LIV Golf Is Pretty Relaxed<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Something that has been brought up by players on LIV Golf is that the new league is much more easygoing than the PGA or the DP World Tour.\u00a0 Sure, it is louder with concerts, flash mobs, and pyrotechnics, but players agree that it is pretty easy going.\u00a0 Dustin Johnson has pointed this out and cites it as a reason why he is content.\u00a0 The 54-hole format with shotgun starts is less intense compared to the standard.\u00a0 It\u2019s part of why the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/golf\/liv-golf-players-blast-owgr-as-a-mockery\/\" target=\"_self\">OWGR isn\u2019t awarding points<\/a>, and why other LIV golfers seem to be off their game when playing in majors or on the DP World Tour.\u00a0 Players like Bryson DeChambeau are just playing with different rules.\u00a0 Now, how is he still on top of things?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DeChambeau And His Caddie<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When it comes to pro golf, it doesn\u2019t matter if the player is playing for a team or not.\u00a0 They are always on a team.\u00a0 The other member on that team just happens to be the caddie.\u00a0 A partner who will give their two cents on the field and recommend a strategy to approach the game.\u00a0 Bryson DeChambeau has a stellar caddie in Gregory Bodine.\u00a0 This is who Brandel Chamblee believes is responsible for DeChambeau staying on top.\u00a0 Despite being on LIV, he found a caddie who can help him more than make up for any shortcomings.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBut I mean, it\u2019s not like he suddenly got better when he went to LIV.
